The International Society for Japanese Kampō Medicine (ISJKM) was founded in 2009 at the 60th Annual Congress of the Japanese Society of Oriental Medicine (JSOM). Two of the founding members at this meeting were Ann Bradford and Gretchen de Soriano, both Kampō practioners from England. It was established to further international communication among English speaking Kampo practitioners and researchers, and is ‘twinned’ with the JSOM (founded in 1950).
