Kampo is the name of Japanese herbal medicine originated in ancient Chinese medical methods. As a treatment, herbal formulas are prescribed through local examinations of, for example, abdominal palpation, tongue and pulse diagnosis.
Kampo considers that imbalances of the body and ‘taking in’ can be caused by an external pathogen or/and internal chaos of the body substances: blood, water (body fluid) and ki (qi). A balance of internal chaos is more concerned with keeping your body healthy.
